What is it?

Same charge here: "WTL EAN FRANCE PARIS". In my case, it was a legitimate charge. I booked a hotel room at IBIS in London through venere.com.

Very confusing. The name is not descriptive, and I don't immediately see what my booking has to do with France. (Except maybe, that IBIS is a French hotel chain.)

It happened to me. It was a payment that i made to Booking.com from Brussels Airlines. I hope it helped someone.....

Found that the charge from "WTL EAN FRANCE PARIS FRA" was legitimate for hotel booking via venere.com. Hotel was from a dutch chain Van Der Valk in Belgium. So it's likley from venere.com who are using part of the Expedia Affiliate Network. But very confusing indeed.

I just had the same experience with my Visa card, only the charge was for 355€. Fortunately, the charge was immediately cancelled on my card statement so the cost to me was zero. However, the same data thief also bought train tickets on SNCF for 224€ on the same day and I have had to "make opposition" with my bank in France over this charge.

Can you help? What is this charge?
