Just noticed this charge on my card as a $100 Hold. I only spent $45 on gas at the Sunoco down the street. Why hold $100. Lesson learned I will buy my gas elsewhere from now on.

I got gas at Costco for $50 and was charged $150, and spent $12 at a Sunoco and was charged $100! When I called USAA about this, they told me that the federal government allows gas stations to over charge AMEX accounts to insure they receive the funds. It does put a hold on the account, but will revert to the actual charge once it posts to the account. I guess I'll just have to live with it.

I've been charged from my AMEX $350 from the same company Sun refinning&marketing and i am not even in OK,I am on west cost.It's a fraud!

I just noticed the same thing. I got gas the other day and they have a $100 hold on my card. Ridiculous!
