Have been trying to cancel subscription now for over two weeks, many calls and emails. And the amount is almost twice what I was promised. Cannot get hold of anyone to cancel. What a rip off. Overcharging and never answering, never calling back. It is a big scam.

My credit card used for my subscription was hacked and I had to change my card"s number. How do I do this?

I have called these people several times to cancel this subscription. I called to cancel it after the first month's subscription. The original subscription was for home delivery. We never looked at the newspaper. I changed the subscription to an e-subscription which I never activated. I have called to cancel this subscription several months in a row. I was told that I had credits each time up to several months ahead. Gan Has charged me 10.00 a month since 01/2015, when it was supposed to have been cancelled. The e-subscription is supposed to only be 4.95 a month. I am angry that they have charged me yet again, yesterday.

This is a subscription service company for Gannett Newspapers. If you subscribe to your local newspaper, this is how that paper collects their subscription payments. For example, I am in a town in Alabama, and I subscribe to the local town paper. The toll-free number on my monthly bill for GAN (Gannett) is (888)426-0491 and is located in Indiana.

Canceled through my credit union account now being charged through my credit card account that i never gave my account numbers to. Two charges one on 11-24-2021 the second on the next day.. 11-25-2021. Have reported these people to the fraud department on my credit card account.

My card was charged without my approval. And they will not help me because I didn't want to give them anymore of my personal information. Of course whomever I spoke to didn't speak very clear English.

I just saw a charge on my debit card, list Gannett Newspaper 888-871-0788 for $8.53 BUT, I DIDN'T CHARGE ANY NEWSPAPER, EVER!! I called the number, the only option it gave me was to "enter my phone # that matched my subscription" I don't have any subscription! But made mistakes, wanting a answer, I entered my #, it then says " this phone # is not associated with any of our subscriptions"...then hung up!! I immediately called my bank, I was advised to cancel my debit card, & file a fraud claim! Bank said if I didn't, whoever it was could empty my account and even overdraft it!! So, I cancelled my card!!! I saw Gannett Newspaper online but, nothing with the phone number that's showing on my bank statement!! I just want to warn others!! Lady at bank said, many times, it will be a small amount and some people never check so, it's not noticed until their acct is empty!!

DAILY TIMES 888-426-0491 charge continues to show up in my bank statement and I have called multiple times to cancel. The charge continues to show up. I never signed up for a subscription and do not want it.

I was charged 9.99 by the Montgomery Advisor. I contacted them to check on this charge because I do not have a subscription. They did not have any information using my name, email address or telephone number. They were unable to locate an account with my information at all. Then suddenly there was an account created using my information I had just given them that stated I was set up on EZ Pay, however, the banking information that would have to be used to set up EZ Pay was blank. (I had not given out my banking information.) I have contacted my bank and I am filing a fraud charge. I had to cancel everything will be getting a new card and account and get to start over. If they are legit, they have issues and I would urge anyone to verify your information and do not give them your banking information on the phone. They will use it to set up an account.

Overcharged; being charged weekly, was supposed to be a three-month Sunday Newspaper only from the DES MOINES REGISTER; never got a paper, being charged WEEKLY on my debit card for what is supposed to be MONTHLY!!! NOT GETTING ANYTHING DELIVERED!!!!

I had signed up the day before for a $1.00 trial subscription to our local paper.

A charge of over $20 was placed at 1:00 am the next morning!

Absolutely no discussion, invoice or notice about this charge!!!!

If this is their idea of a pre-authorization charge, it was disputed, my card cancelled and a fraud report sent to my bank and the paper..

"Appears to be an "interest grab" on the amount over what subscription cost really is!!

Multiply that by thousands upon thousands of subscriptions and they are generating a lot of interest!!

Very confusing and disheartening experience!

I never signed up for deliveries and thought we were getting neighbors drop offs on accident until I saw I was being charged. I demand removal at the very least, removal and reimbursement at best.
